Key Responsibilities

  • Aid each branch or operation in creating an annual business plan that aligns with local management and corporate goals.
  • Incorporate safety goals, cost of operations, capital requirements, productivity standards, profit margins, growth objectives, and performance goals into the business plans.
  • Combine branch plans as necessary for forecasting or performance reviews.
  • Utilize waste volumes and transportation networks to achieve cost-effective, competitive disposal methods.
  • Distribute capital and resources within the region to meet both profit and growth objectives.
  • Evaluate and approve compensation and incentive plans within the region, and make recommendations for key management compensation adjustments.
  • Establish and enforce pricing policies and serve as the pricing authority for service and equipment sales at the branch or operating level.
  • Develop and implement growth strategies including effective sales programs, government contracts, acquisitions, new projects, and services.
  • Promote and uphold the company’s high standards, sound principles, and positive image.
  • Regularly review and suggest improvements to operating results with Executive Management.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of branch financial results with local management and develop comprehensive action plans to address negative trends or outcomes.
  • Ensure each branch or location has sufficient and skilled management and staff to achieve and surpass all branch, regional, and corporate goals.
  • Comply fully with all applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and company policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in the waste industry, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Physical/Mental Demands

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and climb.
  • Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

  • Primary work environment is an indoor office setting, 90% of the time.
  • Noise levels are typically moderate.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned territory is required.
  • Additional travel may be necessary.
