About the Role

The Regional Support Nurse (Dialysis Nurse Float) provides RN coverage across multiple markets, ensuring high-quality dialysis care in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations. This salaried position involves traveling within assigned areas to cover staffing needs such as vacancies and leaves.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dialysis technicians
• Deliver patient education on renal disease and treatment
• Conduct patient assessments and document interventions
• Ensure accurate entries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret lab results and adjust care plans
• Administer medications as required
• Maintain safe operations during shifts
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff
• Manage dialysis care and delegate tasks appropriately
• Monitor patient responses to treatment
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
• Coordinate with healthcare teams to uphold operational safety and efficiency during coverage shifts

Requirements

• RN licensure
• Ability to supervise technical staff
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in patient assessment and documentation
• Knowledge of dialysis procedures
• Understanding of federal and state regulations related to dialysis care
• Experience with lab specimen handling
