Regional Support Nurse

About the Role

The Regional Support Nurse (Dialysis Nurse Float) provides RN coverage across multiple markets, supervising dialysis care and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care, education on renal disease and dialysis therapy, and monitor patient responses.
• Delegate tasks to dialysis technicians, supervise their activities, and ensure safe, effective dialysis delivery.
• Conduct pre- and post-treatment assessments, document interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret data, adjust care, and coordinate treatments.
• Ensure accurate documentation of treatments, lab results, medications, and patient data in EMR.
• Collect lab specimens per DOT policies and administer medications as prescribed.
• Maintain safe operations during shifts, overseeing unit functions and addressing staffing needs.
• Provide continuous education to patients and families about dialysis and related health concerns.
