Responsibilities
- Demonstrates an unwavering commitment to Lesaffre's safety-first culture by strictly following all safety protocols and participating in required safety programs
- Works with the Phileo North America team in obtaining new business and maintaining existing customers within geographical region
- Identifies key accounts and business influencers in their assigned region and formulates plans to build business relationships with those accounts
- Leverages sales support and technical support in collaboration with Phileo’s Technical Services Manager-Poultry
- Develops a close, collaborative working relationship with Phileo’s Technical Services Manager-Poultry and the Phileo North America Monogastric Sales Manager
- Maintains an ongoing market intelligence about the North American poultry marketplace to help identify new sales opportunities and commercial product applications
- Maintains timely, regular professional communication of work-related activities to Phileo’s Monogastric Sales Team and North American Monogastric Sales Manager
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of competitors in the region
- Maintains and updates knowledge of process or ingredient changes in the livestock and feed production industries
- Represents the Company at trade and industry functions as necessary
- Utilizes Salesforce for customer engagement documentation
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) preferably in Animal Science with an emphasis on poultry nutrition from an accredited university is required
- 5 or more years of experience in poultry nutrition and feed manufacturing sales are required
- Strong professional interest in poultry feeding and poultry production/nutrition knowledge is required
- Demonstrated aptitude and proficiency in commercial poultry nutrition, production methods, and value-added product application
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
- Ability to travel 70% of the time within Canada and the United States for team meetings, trade shows, and face to face sales meetings
