About the role

This is not an account management role. This is a market-building role. Your mission is to establish Solato as the premium gelato solution across Florida by identifying high-potential opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, activating distributor partnerships, and driving recurring capsule consumption.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business across airports, airline lounges, hotels, resorts, corporate offices, healthcare, higher education, sports & entertainment venues, country clubs, travel plazas, and other premium foodservice environments.
  • Build relationships with operators, food & beverage leaders, chefs, procurement teams, and executive decision-makers.
  • Develop regional opportunities that have the potential to become strategic reference accounts and national expansion opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting through installation and post-launch follow-up.
  • Partner closely with distributor sales teams, brokers, and regional leadership to generate qualified opportunities and accelerate market penetration.
  • Conduct joint customer visits, product demonstrations, sales training, and distributor ride-alongs.
  • Turn approved distribution into active, high-performing customer accounts.
  • Build lasting relationships that create long-term pull-through demand across distributor networks.
  • Execute live demonstrations, tastings, and customer presentations that showcase the Solato experience.
  • Represent Solato at industry events, trade shows, distributor meetings, and customer activations.
  • Continuously monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing on regional campaigns, customer success stories, and demand generation initiatives.
  • Ensure successful customer onboarding and installation in partnership with internal teams.
  • Support customers after launch to maximize product adoption and capsule consumption.
  • Identify opportunities to expand placements within existing multi-site operators.

Requirements

5+ years of successful B2B foodservice sales experience. Proven hunter with a track record of opening new accounts and exceeding sales targets. Experience working with foodservice distributors, brokers, and multi-unit operators. Comfortable selling consultatively to executive stakeholders, operators, chefs, and food & beverage leaders. Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working independently. Strong organizational skills with experience managing opportunities through a CRM. Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Willing and able to travel extensively throughout Florida. Able to regularly transport and set up demonstration equipment (up to 40 lbs).
