About the role

SGA Dental Partners is growing and seeks an experienced Regional Operations Director to lead their specialty region in the Southeast. The role is hybrid/remote, requiring frequent travel to support practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a liaison relationship with the corporate office.
  • Drive change through trust-based partnerships with providers, clinical leadership, and office managers.
  • Ensure prompt corrective action is taken with focus on cost, safety, and patient care.
  • Oversee design and construction of new units and unit expansions/renovations.
  • Oversee the transitional process of new acquisitions.
  • Develop and maintain open communication with administrators and staff.
  • Moderate to heavy travel.
  • Financial Management:
    • Formulate regional budget of operational expenses.
    • Review, authorize, and monitor expenditure reports.
    • Provide training on policies and procedures.
    • Review payroll and patient/treatment charge reports.
  • Risk Management/Quality Assurance Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with standards of conduct, legal, and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate internal audits and report findings.
    • Oversee quality assurance activities and corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Teammate Management:
    • Understand and communicate basic wage and hour laws.
    • Plan, organize, and supervise support staff.
    • Execute special operations projects.
    • Manage staffing plans and perform performance evaluations.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings.

Requirements

  • Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in creating strategic plans and managing priorities.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of multi-unit healthcare experience or consulting background.
