Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an experienced, inspired, and mission-driven Regional Fleet Manager to join our growing team.

About the role

The Regional Fleet Manager (RFM) will oversee a regional field team of 50 remote professionals, including Business Development Managers (BDM), Fleet Managers (FM), and field technicians across 25 locations in the Northeast Region (Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania). Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the RFM will be accountable for day-to-day operations, performance metrics, safety, turnover, quality of work, technician utilization, inventory management, and other operational priorities. This is a remote-based position managing multiple sites with regular travel in the Northeast (30-40% travel expected). Candidates preferably reside within the managed region.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regional compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards, including HazRep submittal, audits, and safety trainings.
  • Minimize turnover and foster a strong team culture by monitoring technician sentiment and improving team performance.
  • Define and enforce operational processes, set goals, and hold team members accountable.
  • Achieve regional billability (technician utilization) targets and P&L objectives.
  • Conduct capacity planning and recommend staffing adjustments to meet operational and client needs.
  • Meet Time to Repair and Throughput targets for onsite mobile maintenance services.
  • Manage Repair Order prioritization, completion, and invoicing according to client and business requirements.

Requirements

  • Ten+ years of experience managing large fleets and maintenance operations.
  • Proven ability to build team culture and drive positive business outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, persuade, and drive action.
  • Collaborative management style with a customer service orientation.
  • Experience setting expectations, holding teams accountable, and implementing performance management.
  • Ability to receive and act on feedback, including customer surveys, KPI results, and executive guidance.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in operations, planning, maintenance, and customer service management.
  • Business-focused mindset with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
  • Responsive, creative, resilient, and resourceful.
  • Background in automotive and diesel repairs, servicing light, medium, and heavy-duty fleets (gas, electric, and diesel-powered vehicles).
  • Experience with process improvement, operational best practices, and financial efficiency.

Pay

Salary range: $110,000–$125,000 plus an annual performance-based bonus.
