Senior Regional Manager Fleet Maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and retain a team of maintenance technicians and shop leaders
  • Oversee daily fleet maintenance operations across the region
  • Implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and best practices
  • Ensure all vehicles meet company standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and drive performance through key metrics and shop KPIs
  • Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and identify savings opportunities
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and enforce safety protocols
  • Serve as subject matter expert on maintenance systems, tools, and technologies
  • Cookordination with internal teams to ensure fleet availability and reliability
  • Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service providers
  • Support contract negotiations with external vendors
  • Track, analyze, and report on maintenance performance to leadership
  • Promote continuous improvement, training, and skill development across the team
  • Lead a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Take on special projects that support business and operational goals

Qualifications

  • Required Education: Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field OR minimum of 7 years of fleet maintenance experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience, Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role focused on shop operations, Experience managing technicians, shop performance, and maintenance programs
  • Preferred Qualifications: Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance operations and regulatory compliance, Experience with fleet management systems, diagnostic tools, and onboard vehicle technology, Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software systems, Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, High level of integrity, organization, and attention to detail, Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, Strong collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders
