Responsibilities
- Lead fleet program management across a multi-state region, ensuring fleet priorities support operational needs and the enterprise fleet strategy
- Manage and coach remote Fleet Coordinators, Technicians, and Mechanics, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development
- Own the success of the preventative maintenance program and drive achievement of compliance targets
- Create, manage, and improve sustainable processes and workflows that support best-in-class fleet practices
- Avoid, investigate, and resolve incidents related to fleet operations
- Oversee fleet excess yards, including asset security, inventory accuracy, ready-reserve availability, growth, and reallocation needs
- Manage regional capital expense processes, including capital request submissions and complete asset retirement packages
- Serve as the DOT subject matter expert for Operations within the assigned region
- Present actionable fleet information during Operations meetings and serve as the regional fleet partner to Operations and Corporate teams
Qualifications
- 5+ years of fleet-related experience, including fleet program management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing employees, including multiple remote direct reports
- Experience and working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA compliance requirements
- Experience creating and delivering training
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to operate company vehicles
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities
- Ability to build productive relationships, negotiate effectively, and resolve differences with internal and external partners
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly
- Ability to develop and administer a regional fleet expense budget and interpret financial reports
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
