Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to increase referrals and expand market share within assigned regions.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of hospice liaisons, ensuring accountability for referral growth and community engagement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, physicians, and other referral sources.
  • Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to ensure seamless communication and excellent service for new patient admissions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and referral patterns to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on census growth, referral activity, and business development metrics to the CEO.
  • Represent Swan Hospice at networking events, health fairs, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Ensure all marketing and business development practices are compliant with state, federal, and Medicare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hospice, home health, or healthcare business development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business development/census growth goals.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and hospice compliance requirements.
  • Willingness to travel across assigned regions as needed.
