Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional market access strategies to expand coverage and reimbursement for innovative medical technologies across commercial and government payer channels.
- Engage directly with payer medical directors, policy stakeholders, and reimbursement decision-makers to influence coverage, medical policy, and access outcomes.
- Identify, prioritize, and remove reimbursement and access barriers impacting patient utilization and commercial growth.
- Lead payer-facing discussions focused on clinical, economic, and outcomes-based value propositions.
- Support contracting initiatives and collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize payer relationships and market access opportunities.
- Partner closely with Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Health Economics, and Executive Leadership to align access strategies with broader commercial objectives.
- Monitor payer landscape trends, policy developments, and competitive dynamics to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
- Serve as a strategic resource to support coverage expansion, payer education, and pull-through efforts across the assigned region.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience within Market Access, Managed Markets, Payer Strategy, National Accounts, Strategic Accounts, or related commercial healthcare functions.
- Demonstrated experience engaging commercial health plans, Medicaid organizations, IDNs, provider networks, or payer stakeholders.
- Experience influencing reimbursement, coverage, contracting, or access decisions within medical device, specialty pharmaceutical, biologic, or healthcare services environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to build relationships, develop new opportunities, and navigate complex healthcare organizations.
- Experience presenting clinical and economic value propositions to senior healthcare decision-makers.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally within a highly collaborative, growth-oriented organization.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced environment where ambiguity and change are common.
