Regional Business Office Consultant
About the role
As a Regional Business Office Consultant, you will provide oversight and support for a group of skilled nursing facilities in relation to business office processes. You will be responsible for consulting and guiding assigned Business Office Managers, monitoring billing and collection efforts, auditing and training Business Office employees on policies and procedures, communicating and escalating risk items to leadership, participating in continuous improvement efforts, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payments are received by designated timelines, and monitoring for compliance of Internal Controls.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and support for a group of skilled nursing facilities in relation to business office processes.
- Consult and guide assigned Business Office Managers.
- Monitor billing and collection efforts.
- Audit and train Business Office employees on policies and procedures.
- Communicate and escalate risk items to leadership.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing and payments are received by designated timelines.
- Monitor for compliance of Internal Controls.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience managing a skilled nursing facility business office.
- Prior experience managing multiple skilled nursing facility business offices at once highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in billing and collections including Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, Private Pay, and Medicaid Pending within long term care required.
- Prior accounts receivable experience required.
- Knowledge of Multistate Medicaid Pending, Recertification, and Authorizations.
- Experience with Managed Care billing and processes required.
- Knowledge of Resident Trust Fund processes required.
- Previous experience training and educating all levels of staff in person and remotely.
- Working knowledge of Point Click Care required.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
