Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned volume and share growth of Sazerac’s total beverage portfolio across all applicable categories
  • Call on and develop relationships with assigned retailers to drive results against KPIs, including execution, distribution, and programming, through all levels of stakeholders
  • Execute channel-specific strategies, standards, and tools that align with Sazerac’s company strategies and support multi-year Joint Business Plans (JBPs)
  • Utilize the My Performance system to identify areas for self-improvement, create actionable plans, and track measurable progress
  • Support brand prioritization by state while building scale around the 3+1 strategy and national brands; incorporate state-specific brand plans into multi-year JBPs
  • Keep Division, State Managers, and National Account Managers (NAM) informed of progress on major initiatives through program announcements, monthly updates, and rigorous tracking
  • Develop and agree on applicable KPIs to focus on high-priority, high-reward initiatives; monitor and manage execution monthly and quarterly
  • Drive Sazerac’s volume and share growth exceeding the annual plan by helping retailers grow their spirits, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic categories with the total Sazerac portfolio
  • Develop solutions that increase trips, baskets, and deliver targeted ROI; leverage the full portfolio, including national brands (equity and small sizes) and control labels
  • Identify opportunities that support long-term objectives and use solution-based selling to secure distribution and promotional activity across the total Sazerac portfolio (spirits, ABA, non-alcoholic)
  • Work with Trade Marketing and Brand Teams to secure incremental investment
  • Develop tools and processes to generate insights and actions that deliver against assigned KPIs, using sources such as PBI, Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, iDig, COGNOS, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Monitor market trends and maintain competitive data
  • Drive distribution, programming, and volume growth of Sazerac’s total portfolio; collaborate with Directors to create a vision for investment and go-to-market strategies within the channel
  • Engage at the buyer level across all categories to uncover larger opportunities within assigned retailers
  • Develop and implement multi-year channel-specific strategies incorporated into all retailer JBPs
  • Secure, understand, and utilize national and state-level pricing standards and deviations for strategic account presentations and execution compliance
  • Act as the eyes and ears for brand teams, providing timely feedback; work with Business Intelligence and Commercial Finance to analyze pricing activity and drive effective ROI

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Management and Key Accounts with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop customer relationships
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Highly effective negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Category insight/analytics experience
  • Strong technical skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Off-premise chain sales and/or marketing experience
  • Implementation or project management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Record of successful leadership
  • Experience in the Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG sector
