About the role
The Regional Account Manager (RAM) at Soligent is responsible for generating new business and retaining existing accounts within a specific geographic region. This role involves interacting directly with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring they receive the best possible service from Soligent.
Responsibilities
- Generate and develop new business to meet specified sales goals.
- Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships.
- Respond to all customer inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Function as liaison between our customers and our operations staff.
- Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of solar industry product information.
- Continually gather information on local competition and prevalent industry and business; communicate information to management and others as needed.
- Ensure that all required client paperwork is complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
- Provide timely and accurate reports as required.
- Attend and participate in business/trade events that impact the business unit.
- Attend and participate in team strategic sales meetings.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:
- Expertise in NetSuite, MS Excel, Word, and CRM software.
- A commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with colleagues and suppliers.
- Flexibility and innovation as a team player.
- Must have access to a vehicle for regular, weekly customer visits.
- Ability to travel by plane or car (up to 50%).
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in the solar industry.
- Knowledge of solar industry product information.
- Experience managing customer relationships.
- Experience in sales and/or account management.
Skills
The Regional Account Manager must possess and maintain thorough knowledge of:
- Solar industry product information.
- Company products, services, and policies and procedures.
- Local competition and prevailing industry and business trends.
Benefits
Total expected target compensation for this position is $175,000 annually, which includes base salary plus target bonus. Additional benefits include:
