About the role

Easy Ice provides an all-inclusive commercial ice machine subscription to business owners nationwide. As a Refurb Technician I, you’ll refurbish and repair ice machines, ensuring optimal functionality to meet customer service requirements. This role is critical for customer satisfaction and retention, working closely with Refurb Technician II’s, III’s, and the Technical Services team.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, committed to maintaining equipment, and eager to grow in ice machine repair and maintenance. You’ll thrive in a service-oriented, customer-facing environment and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate levels of equipment are ready for quick turnaround and shipping.
  • Complete refurbishment and repair work to Easy Ice standards and document it properly.
  • Work alongside the Service Delivery and Logistics teams to optimize workflow.
  • Accomplish daily refurb tasks efficiently with an emphasis on quality.
  • Ensure the warehouse meets legal standards.
  • Source equipment and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicle, check fluids, wipers, and tires to extend service life.
  • Continuously evaluate and identify process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • Increase knowledge of the industries served and Easy Ice’s products, services, and processes.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in the HVAC field (desired).
  • EPA 608 Certification.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Reliable, energetic, and solution-driven.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to think on your feet.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to meet team goals.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Frequently stand, walk, sit, use ladders, and handle tools/parts.
  • Reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand for extended periods (8+ hours per day).
  • Exposure to elevated noise levels in the work environment.
