About the role
The Part-Time Days Referrals Coordinator will join our Total Access Program Department at the Baptist IT Center in Jacksonville, FL. This role supports Patient Access Services by interacting with staff, patients, internal departments, physician practices, and insurance companies to secure authorizations for advanced imaging procedures and order entry.
Responsibilities
- Provide referral assistance to physicians, patients, and insurance companies.
- Schedule appointments, obtain authorizations, and collect patient responsibilities at the time of scheduling.
- Accurately complete verification of insurance benefits and authorizations using online tools and/or direct contact with insurance carriers.
- Meet performance expectations, including authorization productivity of 3 accounts/hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or higher (required).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively in a call center environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of teamwork distribution.
Schedule
- 12-hour day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
- Saturdays and Sundays (weekend shift coverage).
Pay
Up to $1,000 sign-on bonus.
Primary location: Baptist Digital Solutions Center (Southbank Plaza).
