About the role
We have an immediate need for a temporary Utilization Management (UM) resource with strong Respiratory / DME UM experience. This role involves timely, accurate, and compliant referral management while facilitating communication between healthcare providers, patients, and payers. The coordinator ensures proper coordination of all applicable and appropriate Home Health services across all contracted health plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical necessity reviews in accordance with CMS guidelines
- Manage referrals for home health services, including enteral supplies
- Handle order intake, insurance verification, and documentation requirements
- Facilitate communication among providers, patients, and payers
Requirements
- Proven Utilization Management experience (medical necessity review, CMS guidelines) or DME experience
- Prior experience in Home Health, particularly with enteral supplies
- Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Pay
$20–22/hour
