Referral Coordinator

About the Role

The Referral Coordinator at Pulse Heart Institute is responsible for expediting the administrative requirements of patient referrals between participating providers and patient health plans. This role acts as a resource regarding referrals and insurance plan guidelines, requiring the ability to interpret medical guidelines, benefits, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient patient healthcare services.

Responsibilities

• Expedite administrative requirements and logistics
• Serve as a resource on referrals and insurance plan guidelines
• Apply discretion, good judgment, and professional communication in all work experiences
• Utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills regularly

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Two (2) years of experience working in a medical setting or insurance company
• Experience in managed care desired
• Experience with CPT and ICD-9 coding preferred

Pay

The pay scale for this position is $20.88 - $30.05 USD. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
