About the role

The Asphalt Rubber Tire Roller Operator will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively run a roller for the compaction of asphalt and/or dirt and other materials for road and commercial construction. Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine.
• Conduct inspection checklists on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
• Keep equipment clean, lubricated, and in good working order, including maintaining good housekeeping.
• Understand control levers for movement of the machine.
• Prioritize safety and welfare of workers around the machine.
• Operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred, but not required).
• Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training.
• Able to work day or night shifts.
• Perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Provide own transportation to and from work.
• Driving License (preferred).
• Legal right to work in the United States (proper documentation required).
