About the role

The Asphalt Paving Machine Operator will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence, perform daily maintenance checks, and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a paver with an accurate and working knowledge (e.g., correct speed, check on material coming out of truck, straight lines).
  • Take a leadership role on the crew.
  • Maintain and clean the paver.
  • Work nights and weekends as required.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to work day or night shifts.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must provide own transportation to and from work.
  • Driving License preferred.
  • Must provide proper documentation of legal right to work in the United States.

  • Hearing should be excellent or corrected by an audio device.

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.
