About the Role
The Recruitment & Training Specialist plays a dual role in attracting qualified technical talent and coordinating employee training and development programs. This position is responsible for recruiting technician-level and shop personnel, managing workforce development initiatives, supporting apprenticeship and mentoring programs, and delivering training that helps employees grow and succeed.

Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Identify, source, and recruit qualified technician-level, field service, and shop candidates.
- Build relationships with technical schools, vocational programs, and workforce development organizations.
- Develop recruitment campaigns and outreach initiatives targeting skilled trades candidates.
- Represent the company at career fairs, trade school events, and industry recruiting activities.
- Coordinate and participate in career day events and workforce development programs.
- Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates based on qualifications, experience, certifications, and overall fit.
- Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and coordinate the selection process.
- Manage job postings and maintain the company's presence on online recruiting platforms.
- Promote employment opportunities through social media and other recruitment channels.
- Coordinate background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screening activities.
- Partner with staffing agencies, labor providers, and educational institutions to identify talent pipelines.
- Maintain applicant records and support onboarding activities.
- Communicate hiring decisions and employment-related information to candidates.
Training & Development
- Consult with leadership to assess organizational training and development needs.
- Coordinate career development and employee growth initiatives.
- Manage mentoring programs that support employee integration and skills development.
- Assist with apprenticeship and workforce development programs.
- Maintain training records, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor training budgets and recommend cost-effective development solutions.
- Dedicate approximately 20 hours per month to safety-related training and initiatives.
Training Program Administration
- Develop, maintain, and deliver employee training programs.
- Update existing training materials and create new training content as needed.
- Evaluate training resources, course materials, manuals, and instructional aids.
- Facilitate select training sessions and coordinate outside instructors when appropriate.
- Schedule training classes and ensure availability of facilities, equipment, and instructors.
- Establish and maintain relationships with technical schools, community colleges, vocational schools, and other educational partners.
- Measure training effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Four or more years of leadership, supervisory, recruiting, training, or related experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to build relationships with candidates, employees, educational partners, and leadership teams.
Preferred
- Experience recruiting for skilled trades, technician, manufacturing, construction, industrial, or field service positions.
- Experience developing and delivering employee training programs.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship, workforce development, or mentoring programs.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, and social media recruiting.
Pay
$70K - $90K
Schedule
Full-time position. Standard weekday schedule with occasional travel to recruiting events, technical schools, job fairs, and training locations.
