Recruiting Manager
Build the team, improve the process, and grow with Southern National Roofing as an experienced, hands-on Recruiting Manager. This role is a player-coach position—you’ll lead recruiters, step in to recruit personally, and help build the hiring infrastructure for our next stage of growth.
About the Role
Southern National Roofing is experiencing approximately 40% year-over-year growth. This position will evolve as the company grows, with opportunities to expand beyond recruiting into Talent Acquisition, HR, Operations, or other areas based on performance and business needs.
You’ll spend time learning the business firsthand—sitting with teams, joining ride-alongs, and even performing job duties—to better understand the roles you’re hiring for. This isn’t just onboarding; it’s part of how we operate. When workloads surge or support is needed, managers are expected to step in and help.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a small recruiting team responsible for hiring Sales Consultants, Sales Managers, Canvassers, Canvassing Managers, Call Center Team Members, Department Managers, and selected Senior Management positions.

- Improve sourcing strategies, job postings, screening, interviewing, and candidate selection processes.
- Build recruiting metrics, reporting, goals, and accountability systems.
- Enhance quality of hire and employee retention.

- Develop future Recruiting Team Leads and Managers.
- Partner closely with department and senior leadership before implementing material changes.
- Help build hiring infrastructure, including hiring packets, interview guides, candidate scorecards, job descriptions, onboarding processes, recruiting SOPs, hiring manager guidelines, and the employee handbook.
Immediate Priority
One of your first priorities will be improving Sales Consultant recruiting. The goal is to increase the team by 10-15 people while improving retention through better quality of hire. You’ll be expected to learn and act simultaneously—participating in recruiting, identifying opportunities, and generating results quickly.

- Experience leading, coaching, or developing recruiters.
- Comfort acting as both a manager and an individual contributor.
- Experience with high-volume recruiting and management-level searches.
