About the role
We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter to join a growing team and provide recruiting support for a high volume of hourly positions.
Responsibilities
- Support recruiting efforts for 75+ open hourly positions across the organization.
- Review and evaluate incoming applications and resumes against job requirements.
- Conduct thorough candidate phone screens to assess qualifications, experience, motivation, and overall fit.
- Ask thoughtful follow-up questions to gain a deeper understanding of a candidate's background and career history.
- Identify potential concerns or red flags and investigate them further during the screening process.
- Schedule qualified candidates for interviews with the full-time Recruiter and/or Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Maintain a strong candidate pipeline and ensure qualified candidates move efficiently through the recruiting process.
- Partner closely with the recruiting team to understand hiring needs and priorities.
- Provide a high level of candidate quality rather than focusing solely on interview volume.
- Help ensure candidates are a strong fit for both the position and the organization's work environment.
Requirements
- Previous recruiting experience, preferably supporting high-volume hourly or manufacturing positions.
- Strong interviewing and candidate screening skills.
- Ability to evaluate candidates beyond the resume and ask effective follow-up questions.
- Excellent judgment when determining candidate quality and fit.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities.
- Detail-oriented and organized approach to recruiting.
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine interest in finding the right candidate, not simply filling open positions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest in finding the right candidate, not simply filling open positions. They should be comfortable digging deeper into a candidate's experience, asking probing questions, and understanding the "why" behind career moves.
