Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for 10 or more requisitions at a time, primarily for assembly, machining, and maintenance positions in a manufacturing environment.
- Post job openings across appropriate channels and ensure job advertisements are accurate, compelling, and aligned with hiring needs.
- Source candidates proactively through online platforms, databases, and networking to build strong talent pipelines for hourly industrial roles.
- Screen applicants via phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and fit for specific roles.
- Conduct proactive outreach to candidates by phone, email, and text, making at least three contact attempts per candidate to drive engagement and response.
- Cook up and support hiring events such as job fairs and local advertising efforts to attract qualified candidates from the surrounding communities.
- Track candidate activity, requisition status, and recruiting metrics using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date flow logs, ensuring all candidate interactions, interview outcomes, and hiring decisions are properly documented.
- Extend job offers in alignment with established processes and support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Provide regular updates to recruiting plans and strategies based on hiring progress, candidate feedback, and evolving business needs.
- Collaborate closely with the HR team to prioritize requisitions, align on hiring timelines, and share insights on candidate markets and process improvements.
- Axle additional HR projects as needed, including document scanning, file organization, and general administrative support.
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while managing multiple open roles and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate strong follow-up and communication with candidates and internal stakeholders to keep all parties informed throughout the hiring process.
- Quickly ramp up on existing processes, tools, and systems to provide immediate support during a period of high hiring demand.
Essential Skills
- At least 6 months of experience in a recruiting role, preferably involving full-cycle recruitment responsibilities.
- At least 6 months of experience working with Microsoft Excel or a human resources information system (HRIS).
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking candidate pipelines, metrics, and recruiting activity.
- Ability to use applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR systems to document and manage candidate information.
- Strong communication skills, including clear and professional phone, email, and written communication with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and make decisions independently within established guidelines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.
- Strong follow-up skills and a sense of urgency in moving candidates through the hiring process.
- Comfort working independently while actively driving recruiting efforts and meeting hiring goals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including strong tracking habits and documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and business needs in a dynamic environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A college education is preferred but not required.
- High-volume, full-cycle recruitment experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Experience using Indeed for sourcing and managing candidates.
- Experience using Workday or similar applicant tracking and HR systems.
- Familiarity with broader Microsoft Office tools in addition to Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners in HR and operations.
- Comfort engaging with candidates via phone, email, and text to drive interest and maintain communication.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership over requisitions and hiring outcomes.
- Interest in working within a structured, process-driven environment that emphasizes continuous improvement.
- Motivation to contribute to a stable, long-term focused manufacturing organization during a critical period of growth and ramp-up.
