Recruiter I (Arlington)
Aston Carter is seeking a Recruiter I to focus on recruiting talent for infrastructure services that support large-scale cloud and computing platforms across the United States.
About the role
You will recruit for roles that own and operate the underlying infrastructure, including data centers and engineering functions, ensuring reliable cloud and computing services for customers. This position involves managing high-volume requisitions and driving a goal-oriented recruiting process from intake through offer, working closely with hiring teams and candidates.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and source candidates across the United States for infrastructure and engineering roles that support large-scale cloud and computing services.
- Partner with hiring managers and lead recruiters to conduct detailed intake discussions, understand role requirements, and define recruiting strategies.
- Develop and execute sourcing plans by working backwards from hiring goals, using a variety of channels to attract qualified candidates.
- Manage high-volume sourcing activities, including identifying, engaging, and screening potential candidates.
- Engage with candidates via email, virtual channels, and phone, dedicating significant time to direct conversations and relationship-building.
- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders as primary customers, ensuring alignment on hiring priorities, timelines, and candidate profiles.
- Maintain ongoing dialogue with candidates and hiring managers to provide updates, gather feedback, and adjust sourcing strategies as needed.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruiting tools to track candidates, manage pipelines, and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in a structured ramp-up and training program, progressively taking on additional recruiting and sourcing responsibilities over approximately 45 days.
- Share learnings and best practices with team members, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Meet or exceed goals in a performance-driven environment, including metrics related to sourcing volume, candidate engagement, and hiring outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience working in a goal-driven recruiting environment, with the ability to meet defined performance metrics.
- Proven experience managing high-volume recruiting or sourcing activities.
- Recruiting experience within the technology sector, particularly for technical roles.
- Familiarity with technical sourcing and talent acquisition processes.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage candidate pipelines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to conduct frequent, effective conversations with candidates and hiring managers.
- Ability to collaborate with both direct and indirect internal customers, including hiring managers and lead recruiters.
Qualifications
- Experience recruiting for highly technical software development engineer (SDE) roles.
- Experience with advanced Boolean search techniques for candidate sourcing.
- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced recruiting environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly during a structured ramp-up period and take on increasing responsibility.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing multiple requisitions and candidate pipelines.
Work Environment
This role is 100% onsite in Arlington or Seattle. Schedule
This is a contract position based out of Arlington, VA, with an anticipated close date of August 1, 2026. The role is fully onsite.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00 per hour.
