Recreation Supervisor (63367)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Recreation Supervisor to lead our Recreation Department and create engaging opportunities that support student wellness, development, and success.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Recreation Department.
• Plan and implement recreational, fitness, wellness, and student engagement programs.
• Create and publish weekly and monthly recreation schedules.
• Promote healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and positive student development.
• Supervise and guide recreation staff.
• Address student and staff concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Participate as an active member of the Center's HEALs Committee.
• Support the Extended Training Day Program.
• Partner with Residential Living and Safety/Security staff to ensure effective student supervision.
• Serve as Acting Center Shift Manager/Manager on Duty as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate of Arts Degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of recreation management, physical education, or related experience.
• Substantial experience working with youth.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, lift, carry, reach, stoop, crouch, and push/pull.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and recognize when assistance is needed.
