Recreation Event Leader - Part-Time

About the role

The immediate vacancy is located in Halawa to Kalihi, Oahu. Duties include performing skilled carpentry work in the construction, alteration, and repair of structural woodwork and wooden articles.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled carpentry work in the construction, alteration, and repair of structural woodwork and wooden articles.
• Use the hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade.
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Recognize hazards typical of the work.
• Estimate time and materials needed to complete a job.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Perform heavy lifting, moving, and other manual work typical of this class of work.

Requirements

• Four years of work experience in performing a variety of rough and finished carpentry work.
• A valid driver's license if required by the position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of practices and methods in the carpentry trade, including safety procedures.
• Ability to use the tools, equipment, and materials used in the carpentry trade.

Skills

• Skilled carpentry work.

Pay

$3,751 per month (Salary includes Shortage Category Differential).

Schedule

Hours and schedule are flexible and determined by the needs of the department.
