About the role

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.

Essential Duties

  • Maintaining records and other documentation regarding daily program activities and operations such as class registrations, attendance records, deposits and financial reports and facility usage
  • Instructing clients on the fundamentals of the assigned community services program
  • Assisting in maintaining facility cleanliness and operations as needed
  • Assisting customers and residents with general questions and concerns regarding recreational or senior programs
  • Performing all other duties, as assigned

Public Speaking Duties

Educating and providing information about classes, programs, services, and rental opportunities to the public at community events, resource and job fairs, and other forums, as needed

Other Job Requirements/Information

  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • CPR/First Aid/Defibrillator Certification must be obtained within first 3 months of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Preferred Qualifications: in addition to the above minimum qualifications CPR/First Aid/Defibrillator certification One year of experience in programming, event planning, customer service, or scheduling experience
