Assistant Recreation Leader (Part-time)

Responsibilities
- Cook up and distribute equipment and uniforms.
- Assist with setup and supervision of games, practices, and tournaments, including evenings and weekends.
- Serve as an on-site supervisor at sports programs and special events, ensuring safety, sportsmanship, and fun.
- Respond to participant and volunteer inquiries with strong customer service and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with other town departments, community partners, and outside sports program administrators.
- Aid in organizing and running community events and department-wide recreation programming.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of sports rules, field layouts, and recreational league organization.
- Strong communication, organization, and computer skills.
- Experience working in recreation, youth sports coaching, therapeutic or adaptive programs, camp leadership, or community programming.
- Ability to lead volunteers or part-time staff.
- Positive engagement with youth and families.
- Quick adaptation to changing situations.
- A valid Massachusetts Class D Drivers License.
