Recreation Assistant NF-02.

Duties

• Circulates among patrons to ensure service is satisfactory and receives and resolves customer complaints.
• Provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Assists patrons in the use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
• Plans, conducts, publicizes, and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments, and related functions.
• May provide work guidance to other staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
• Must be willing to accept a flexible appointment.
• Must be able to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on organizational needs.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifications

• A qualified candidate must possess six (6) months of work experience involving dealing with the general public.
