Recreation Assistant NF-02.

Responsibilities

• Circulate among patrons in a usage facility to ensure satisfactory service, receive and resolve customer complaints, and provide information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
• Plan, conduct, publicize, and arrange support for special events and social events.
• Provide work guidance to other staff members as needed.
• Assist patrons in using the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instruction, demonstrating new equipment, and teaching classes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
• Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
• A one-year probationary period may be required.
• Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
• Physical requirements must be met.

Pay

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

Schedule

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

Area of consideration: This job is open to candidates who live locally (within a 50-mile commuting radius of DLA Richmond, Virginia). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized.
