About the Role

Works as an assistant for the Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes specific assignments, explains policies and procedures, and reviews work for quantity and quality of completed projects.

Responsibilities

  • Issues and receives recreational equipment to authorized users.
  • Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected, safeguards funds, and makes daily bank deposits.
  • Manages the community recreation programs/services reservations calendar.
  • Prepares requirement lists for appropriated and non-appropriated supplies and equipment due to demand or need for replacement items.
  • Monitors inventories and the number and condition of items on hand.
  • Tests mechanical equipment for serviceability after each use and removes damaged or unusable equipment from inventory.
  • May be required to drive a motor vehicle as needed.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Must have and retain a valid driver’s license.
  • Experience must be reflected on your resume.

This job is part of a pay-banded system.

Area of Consideration

This job is open to candidates who live locally, considered within the 50-mile commuting radius of Fort AP Hill, Virginia. Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included.
