About the role

This position supports fitness and recreational operations, ensuring the safe and proper use of equipment, maintaining facilities, and assisting members with various needs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct, proper, and safe use of all fitness equipment; explain usage to guests.
  • Clean and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist with various sport and fitness programs and tournaments.
  • Answer member questions, conduct inventory, and maintain the membership database.
  • Utilize an automated booking system to make reservations and appointments.
  • Monitor and ensure safe usage of the pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi; report any problems to supervisors.
  • Perform in-house laundry duties using commercial laundry machines.
  • Clean rooms, corridors, stairways, sports courts, and other common areas.
  • Maintain stock rooms and cleaning supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for the position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Satisfactory completion of a physical examination.
  • Must meet physical requirements, including walking on hard surfaces, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items or carts up to and occasionally over 50 pounds.
  • Must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire.

  • Ability to offer excellent customer service and perform duties with minimal supervision.

  • Must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire.

Schedule

This position is part of a pay-banded system. Regular full-time and part-time schedules are available.

Area of consideration: Open to candidates located in the local commuting area (within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included.
