Recreation Aid (Physical Fitness) NF-01.
Duties
- Ensures correct, proper, and safe use of all fitness equipment.
- Explains equipment usage to guests.
- Cleans and performs minor maintenance on equipment.
- Works various sport and fitness programs and tournaments.
- Answers member questions, conducts inventory, and maintains membership database.
- Utilizes automated booking system to make various reservations and appointments.
- Familiar with the working of the pool, sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi operations; ensures safety and usage is monitored.
- Reports any problems to the supervisor or manager on duty as soon as possible.
- Performs in-house laundry duties.
- Operates commercial laundry machines to wash and dry bulk laundry items.
- Cleans rooms, corridors, stairways, sports courts, and other common areas.
- Maintains stock room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Satisfactory completion of physical examination.
- Must have or be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire.

Additional Information
This job is open to candidates who are located in the local commuting area (within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA). Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
