Responsibilities

  • Issues tools, equipment, and games to authorized customers.
  • Checks identification, collects fees when appropriate, and completes appropriate documentation.
  • In a recreation facility, assists in directing patrons, scheduling the use of courts, lanes, and equipment.
  • Receives returned items, inspecting for obvious damage and missing parts.
  • Provides facility and program information to patrons.
  • Assists with simple repair and maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Area of consideration: This job is open to candidates who are local to the Island of Oahu, including Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates.

This is a Standing Register with a first cut-off date of June 24, 2026. Applicants will be referred to selecting officials on various cut-off periods until filled.

Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license/ID (marked with a star) or an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) from WA, MI, MN, NY, or VT.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized.
