Responsibilities

  • Issues tools, equipment, and games to authorized customers.
  • Checks identification, collects fees when appropriate, and completes appropriate documentation.
  • In a recreation facility, assists in directing patrons, scheduling the use of courts, lanes, and equipment.
  • Receives returned items, inspecting for obvious damage and missing parts.
  • Provides facility and program information to patrons.
  • Assists with simple repair and maintenance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • Requires rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

This job is open to candidates who are local to the Island of Oahu. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

This is a Standing Register with the first cut-off date of August 26, 2026. Applicants will be referred to selecting officials on various cut-off periods until filled.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.

Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver's license/ID (marked with a star) or an Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) from WA, MI, MN, NY, or VT.
