Responsibilities
- Issues tools, equipment, and games to authorized customers; checks identification, collects fees when appropriate, and completes required documentation.
- Receives returned items, inspects for damage or missing parts, and checks inventories and supplies.
- In a recreation facility, assists in directing patrons, scheduling the use of courts, lanes, and equipment.
- Participates in and directs games and social events; decorates party rooms and maintains cleanliness of assigned work areas.
- In arts and crafts programs, demonstrates simple techniques and provides facility and program information to patrons.
- Assists with simple repair and maintenance tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card are required.
- Must meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Must satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- May be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends. Facility hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 0800-1800.
- Must have customer service experience.
Qualifications

- No experience is required, but applicants meeting the Highly Preferred criteria (customer service experience) will be referred to management for consideration first.
- All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.

Additional Information
- This job is open to candidates who reside within the local commuting area, including Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates.
- Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized.
- Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid.
- Access to certain federal facilities may require a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license/ID or an Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL).
