About the role
The position is a full-time role with a flexible schedule, typically 4 days per week in the office at 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, 55344. Optum is a global organization that connects people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources needed to lead healthier lives. The role involves coordinating and managing the service change process and recosting governance for Optum Technology rate card services.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end service change intake, validation, and readiness gating for rate card service additions or changes.
- Support go/no-go decisions by ensuring service changes are complete, validated, and understood in the context of rate models, cost allocation, service pricing, and stakeholder impacts.
- Track actions, dependencies, risks, and open decisions required to implement approved service changes.
- Provide clear, leadership-ready status updates on service changes, risks, decisions, dependencies, next steps, and implementation progress.
- Partner across service teams and OT FP&A to support change management and timely operationalization of approved changes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities as recosting governance continues to mature.
- Help protect the broader recosting timeline by ensuring service changes are coordinated, documented, communicated, and executed effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or associated field
- 1+ years of experience with FP&A concepts and/or the economics of technology service delivery, including service costing, rate models, cost allocation, service pricing, or related financial decision-making.
- Communication skills, including the ability to translate complex recosting activity into concise leadership-ready updates, risks, decisions, and next steps.
- Change management, program coordination, governance, or process improvement experience.
- Ability to manage cross-functional actions, timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder follow-through.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority.
- Comfort working in financial, operational, or rate model-related processes with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
- Ability to work full-time.

- Experience supporting FP&A, rate card, service costing, recosting, or financial governance processes.
- Experience improving governance processes, intake workflows, decision routines, or change management practices.
- Ability to connect service change activity to financial, operational, and stakeholder impacts.

Pay
The salary for this role will range from $91,700 - $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
