Job Functions And/or General Responsibilities
- Converts visual and textual records into electronic images using imaging systems.
- Creates digital images from microfilm, microfiche, and jacketized microfilm.
- Creates preservation microfilm from digital images.
- Conducts quality assurance checks to ensure digital images meet Imaging Services standards.
- Uses software to modify or change image file formats and characteristics.
- Performs routine maintenance to ensure equipment functions properly and maintains a safe work environment.
- Follows Imaging Services policies and procedures to create quality images.
- Maintains daily and weekly production reports, job and project records, and imaging targets used to create microfilm.
- Performs all other duties as needed by the Imaging Services Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and image editing software.
- Ability to operate computerized equipment such as scanners, digital cameras, microfilm equipment, and microfilm readers with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to determine when incomplete or inaccurate information requires further investigation during project set up or indexing of records.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other staff members, and customers.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 pound storage boxes.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong task orientation.
- Experience with imaging software and equipment preferred.
- Basic clerical skills.
Pay
$38,400.00 per year
