About the role
Cadence Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Records and Information Manager with NARA and Federal Records Experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Alternate Component Records Management Officer (CRMO); assist the primary CRMO in ensuring Directorates and Divisions are compliant with federal law and regulations regarding records management;
- Attend CRMO training and pass an exam to be certified as an alternate CRMO; maintain certification by attending this training every two years;
- Participate in evaluations and staff assistance visits with Offices to identify gaps in compliance with RIM laws and regulations, and provide recommendations for improvement;
- Ensure that all records are properly identified, inventoried, stored, and disposed of in accordance with NARA and Federal Records regulations;
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for records management;
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of records retention schedules;
- Manage the disposition of records according to established guidelines;
- Provide guidance and training to staff on records management practices;
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency in records management practices;
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations regarding records retention and disposal;
- Prepare and submit annual records management reports to the appropriate authorities;
- Respond to inquiries and audits related to records management;
- Stay current with changes in records management laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in records management;
- NARA and Federal Records experience;
- Knowledge of NARA and Federal Records regulations;
- Ability to attend CRMO training and pass an exam to be certified as an alternate CRMO;
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to lift and move boxes up to 15 pounds;
- Ability to work in office, laboratory, and records storage environments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
- Associate degree preferred;
- Experience in records management, administrative support, document control, or laboratory support;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain a high level of accuracy;

Pay
$70,000 - $80,000 annually;
