Records Processing Clerk
About the role
ALCARGO LOGISTIC is seeking a Records Processing Clerk for a remote role centered on organized records maintenance, indexing, retrieval, and documentation control. You will work through defined processes, document what you complete, and raise questions when information is incomplete or inconsistent. Accuracy should be preserved even when volume increases. If a deadline conflicts with the quality required to complete work responsibly, you should raise the issue early and make the tradeoff visible to the appropriate owner. Work will be organized around defined priorities and documented procedures. When a record, request, or result does not match expectations, the right response is to verify the available information, note the difference, and use the appropriate escalation path rather than forcing a conclusion.
Responsibilities
- Support audits or internal reviews by locating complete and well-organized documentation.
- Create, update, index, and organize digital records using approved naming and filing conventions.
- Review files for duplicate, missing, outdated, or incorrectly classified information.
- Retrieve requested records efficiently while preserving access and confidentiality requirements.
- Coordinate with internal users when records need clarification or replacement documentation.
- Document changes so record history remains understandable to future reviewers.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently while keeping status visible to the team.
- Highly organized approach to file naming, indexing, and record maintenance.
- Comfort using shared drives, spreadsheets, and document-management systems.
- Reliable handling of confidential information and access-sensitive records.
- Strong time management across multiple record requests or processing queues.
- Willingness to learn and consistent follow-through (no prior knowledge of every internal system required).
Pay
$38,000-$48,000 per year
