About the role
Welcomes new patients and obtains orthodontic records. Responsible for maintaining an on-time patient workflow, providing direction regarding schedule adherence, greeting new patients and family members, familiarizing them with the clinic layout, capturing X-rays, photographs, and scans, relaying new patient information to treatment coordinators and doctors, coordinating clinical records requests, managing patient treatment flow and scheduling, and ensuring strict compliance with state, federal, and other regulations.
Responsibilities
- Greets new patients and family members
- Familiarizes new patients and family with clinic layout
- Captures X-rays, photographs, and scans
- Relays new patient information to treatment coordinator(s) and doctors
- Captures X-rays, photographs, and scans
- Coordinates clinical records requests
- Maintains strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations
- Performs after-care communication
- May clean, sterilize, and prepare the equipment
- May cross-train to support multiple roles within the clinic
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Previous dental clinical experience preferred
- Bilingual a plus, but not required
Qualifications
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with patients and coworkers, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing.
