The Position
This full-time, in-office role (with opportunities to work from home) involves initial review of construction estimates in Xactimate and Symbility, providing feedback and recommendations, and creating construction estimates from the ground up. Potential for advancement to a management position with a team.
The estimator works closely with the V.P. of construction to develop standard operating procedures and create process maps to streamline estimating. The position starts at $70,000 up to $80,000, with a 20% bonus possible based on experience.
Requirements
- Expert construction estimator in Xactimate and Symbility
- Minimum 5 years of construction estimating experience, 10+ preferred
- Previous experience working with TPAs required
- Must be able to handle high volume and execute estimates quickly on tight deadlines
- Must be able to train estimators on preferred estimating guidelines and industry trends
Responsibilities
- Review job site information from photos and field personnel notes
- Estimate projects using Xactimate, Symbility, and other estimating software
- Provide training and feedback to estimators
- Understand and provide feedback on monthly adjustments to estimating software
- Submit complete estimates for approval within required timeframe
- Communicate effectively with internal team, project managers, and insurance adjusters
- Produce supplements and change orders as needed
