About the Role
A typical day in the life of a Receptionist in Salt Lake City, UT may include:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and callers, creating a welcoming and professional experience.
- Answer and direct incoming calls and assist walk-in guests.
- Maintain reception, conference rooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure a polished and client-ready environment.
- Open and close the office during normal business hours.
- Schedule appointments, manage meeting room reservations, and coordinate office logistics.
- Handle shipping, courier services, office supplies, catering, and vendor relationships.
- Support both Tax and Assurance administrative teams, projects, and office coverage as needed.
- Foster a positive office culture by coordinating employee engagement activities, recognition efforts, and office events.
- Partner with receptionists across Utah offices to share best practices, provide cross-office support, and ensure a consistent client and employee experience.
- Serve as the office Safety Officer, supporting compliance with safety policies and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance and service of office equipment, including printers, copiers, and scanners, to support daily operations.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and on time while supporting team deadlines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience; professional services experience preferred.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new technology.
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable operating a multi-line phone system.
- CPR/AED certification, or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe, preferred.
- Notary Public certification is a plus, but not required.
- Willing to work additional hours during peak business periods with advance notice.
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the role, including prolonged sitting and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to supporting the team.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
Schedule
This position follows an in-office schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime during peak business periods.
