Receiving/Mill Operator ($1,500 Sign- On Bonus)

About the Role

The Receiving/Mill Operator provides Mars Petcare with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely batch/mix raw materials into high-quality products, and efficiently receive, test, analyze, and process raw ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all site food safety and security practices
• Actively address food safety and quality concerns
• Unloading of all incoming raw materials
• Major bin strategy coordination
• Hard stock grinder management
• Batching System Operation
• Meet cut-off and tones requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity
• Improve operations through individual and group problem solving
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years' experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Good basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Good mechanical aptitude
• Basic knowledge of personal computers
• Good problem-solving skills
• Good housekeeping skills and knowledge of GMP's
• Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self-directed workgroup leadership, and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to operate a forklift in a safe manner
• Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high and/or confined spaces, and have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years' experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

Pay

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between USD 20.35 - USD 27.98. The total compensation package includes variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits.
