Real Estate Attorney

About the role

A well-established full-service law firm in Southwest Florida is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to join its Real Estate Practice Group. This role will focus on high-value land acquisition and development transactions, while also providing support on residential real estate matters as needed.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating and drafting a variety of real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and development agreements.
• Conducting due diligence on properties, including title reviews, environmental assessments, and zoning compliance.
• Advising clients on leases, property management agreements, and other matters related to the ownership and operation of commercial real estate.
• Reviewing title commitments, recorded documents, and surveys, and preparing title and survey objections.
• Drafting closing documents, conveyancing documents, loan documents, and corporate resolutions related to real estate transactions.
• Collaborating with internal teams on legal research involving statutory law, procedural law, and case law to support ongoing matters.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years of real estate experience.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial and residential real estate transactions.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable outcomes in transactions and dispute resolutions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication and client service skills, with sound business judgment and a responsive, service-oriented approach.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.

Pay

Salary: $125,000 - $145,000 per year
