About the role

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to support its thriving property owners association practice.

Responsibilities

  • Advise property owners associations on corporate governance and compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.
  • Draft, revise, and interpret governing documents, policies, resolutions, and related legal instruments.
  • Prepare and prosecute judicial foreclosure actions and manage association-related litigation as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, pleadings, and court briefs.
  • Communicate regularly with association boards and members and attend board and membership meetings.
  • Supervise and mentor legal assistants and coordinate the efficient handling of client matters.
  • Maintain an active caseload while satisfying established billing expectations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas and admission to the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience and at least 3 years of real estate experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong legal research and drafting abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to a full-time, in-office schedule and a collaborative, client-focused approach to practice.
