About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Attorney. This role involves handling a broad range of residential and commercial real estate matters, including closings, title review, and client counseling. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing transactions from contract through post-closing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, lenders, agents, and developers.
Responsibilities
- Manage residential and commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing
- Conduct and review title searches; resolve title issues and prepare title opinions
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, deeds, closing documents, and related agreements
- Oversee and conduct real estate closings, ensuring compliance with Georgia law
- Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of all closing documentation and file records
- Handle post-closing matters, including recording and title policy issuance
- Stay current on Georgia real estate laws, regulations, and market trends
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar
- 2+ years of experience in real estate law (residential and/or commercial closings preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Georgia real estate transactions, title work, and closing procedures
- Excellent drafting, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Client-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
Skills
- Knowledge of Georgia real estate laws and regulations
- Experience in real estate transaction management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
