Real Estate Associate - Denver, CO
About the Role
Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Denver, CO office for an Associate in our Real Estate Department. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate transactional matters and will handle all stages of a transaction, from structuring and term sheet negotiation through diligence, title and survey review, approvals, closings, and post-closing agreements.
Responsibilities
- Handle all stages of real estate transactions, including structuring, term sheet negotiation, due diligence, title and survey review, approvals, closings, and post-closing agreements.
- Engage in acquisitions, sales, leasing, financing, zoning, land use, construction, tax appeals, condemnation, easements, subdivision, and land use law.
- Structure and negotiate financing transactions, including real estate-secured loans, bridge and construction financings, joint ventures, capital partnerships, preferred equity arrangements, and deferred purchase price structures.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in real estate transactional matters.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong research and writing skills, and a solid academic record.
- Team player with a collaborative approach; highly motivated.
- Law firm experience preferred.
- Experience in structuring and negotiating financing transactions is preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
- Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds.
- Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Pay
The salary range for this position applies to Colorado. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $215,000 - $235,000. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position.
