Job Summary
The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled.

Compensation
Hourly: $48.14
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
- Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
- Must be willing to work according to customer demands
- Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
- Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
- Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
- Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management
Requirements/Qualifications
- Current Commercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
- Safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
- Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
- Familiarity with slumps
- Good attendance and punctuality a must
- Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
- Physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
- Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, FMCSA clearance, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing
